Farhan Javed
Farhan Javed is actively pursuing his research in Marie Curie EMPOWER-6G doctoral program at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. His research focuses on wireless networks and communications, 5G & Beyond, Network Slicing, Smart Contracts & Blockchain. His recent research also covers the field of wireless sensor networks, teleoperated driving, autonomous vehicles, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), signal processing, cloud computing, EDGE computing, 5G autonomous networks, machine learning, 6G network management, IoT, IoV, MIMO, energy-efficient and smart healthcare systems.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Pakistan, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Comsats University Islamabad, Attock Campus, obtained in 2017 and 2022, respectively. During his academic journey, Farhan gained valuable practical experience through internships at Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited in 2015 and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation in 2016. He also worked at the Elegant Digital Signage as a Chief Operations Officer from 2018 to 2022.
